DONATIONS
Our congregation is committed to doing mitzvot. When we do mitzvot it is not only because we have a desire to help others or because it feels good. We do mitzvot because we are commanded to by God.
Throughout the course of the year we have different mitzvah projects:
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Clothing drives
  • Green Team Environmental Committee
  • Twice monthly visits to the Lighthouse Soup Kitchen where food is prepared and served to over 100 people
  • Save Darfur Committee

The following Sundays are the TSTI Soup Kitchen dates:

  • May 4
  • May 18
  • June 1

Interested families should contact

...and please include the date you are interested in and the number of people attending.  Please no children under 7 years old.

So how does a mitzvah project happen at Temple?
  • If you have an idea about a project that would be great for Temple that you want to facilitate, please contact Jackie Cutler,  our Mitzvah Maven, and she will help you organize the project and make it happen.
  • If you want to know about Mitzvah opportunities at TSTI and elsewhere, click on Mitzvah Directory
  • If you want to find out about a great resource for Mitzvah work, click on ziv.org
  • For more information regarding mitzvot and social action, please contact Jackie Cutler at jacqueline.cutler@gmail.com.

Social Action
The Reform Movement takes an active role in many pressing issues of our times, including those that affect people nationally and worldwide. If you are interested in political action, please visit the Religious Action Center website at rac.org to find out about action you can take to help repair the world.
