Tribute purchasing has become more streamlined…

After many years of our tribute program running with no changes or evaluation, a committee took a fresh look at the process. They looked at how tributes provide community building and financial support for TSTI. They also looked at other temples and their tribute programs and the increasing cost of postage/printing and the workload for the staff. Although very little will change, recommendations were presented to the TSTI Board of Trustees who voted overwhelmingly to implement the following:
  • -Our beautiful gold on white printed cards will be sent regardless of the donation amount. (the same color tribute card for all gift amounts)
  • -Minimum donation will be $18 for the temple office to process, stamp and send.
  • -Members can also purchase a pack of 10 Tributes for $100 to keep at home and send out over time on their own (bringing the cost down to $10 per tribute). It is the sender’s responsibility to contact the temple office to arrange purchase/collection of the 10-pack. It is also the purchaser’s responsibility to alert the office when (and to whom) a tribute has been sent so it can be listed in the bulletin.
  • -All tributes will be listed in the bulletin.
  • If you have questions about these changes, please feel free to call the temple or email tributes@tstinj.org
Sending a tribute card is a wonderful way to let someone know that you are thinking about them, offering a hearty mazel tov or marking a milestone in their lives. Tributes, sent out by the temple on your behalf, are a loving way to support TSTI.
