Carol Paster has been the Director of the Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education since 1998, after teaching for seven years in its preschool and kindergarten programs. Carol holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and is currently participating in the Matan Institute's Program for Directors, an initiative to guide congregational schools in better meeting the needs of students with learning challenges. She was on the founding Board of Directors for Arts Unbound and has been on the Board of Directors of the ECE-RJ (Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism).
Carol teaches kindergarten in TSTI’s religious school and is an active member of The Partnership for Jewish Learning and Life. She created The WonderSpace at TSTI, our nationally certified outdoor classroom. Her innovative programs have been recognized by the community with several awards and grants. Carol lives with her husband Larry in West Orange, NJ and has two children.
